Does the trial lesson commit us to a term?
No. The trial is a single 45-minute lesson with the diagnostic piece marked beforehand. If it is not the right fit, you receive the marked piece and the notes regardless, and there is nothing further to cancel.
How much work is set between lessons?
One full written piece a fortnight, plus a short reading or translation task on the alternate week. It is deliberately less than school sets, because the point is to redraft carefully rather than produce more pages.
Will you work with the student's school teacher?
Gladly, where the school is happy with it. In practice I follow the set texts and exam board the school has chosen and keep my plan aligned with their scheme of work, so nothing contradicts classroom teaching.
What is the cancellation arrangement?
Lessons cancelled more than 24 hours ahead are moved to another slot in the same half-term at no charge. Inside 24 hours the lesson is charged, but I will still mark anything the student sends that week.
Do you teach resits and private candidates?
Yes. Resit work usually starts from the paper breakdown rather than the whole syllabus, and private candidates get help planning entry timing and coursework requirements alongside the teaching.
What does an online lesson actually need?
A laptop or tablet with a browser, a notebook, and a quiet table. Texts and marked drafts are shared on screen during the lesson and sent afterwards, so there is no printing or software to organise.
